A guest room in a truly unique house where you get to feel at home with a cool family and even cooler cats, plus the friendliest golden retriever. The antique-style decor makes you feel like the hustle and bustle of everyday is far behind! Here you can make a fire in the fireplace, roll down the silver screen for some leisurely movie time or enjoy an authentic Finnish sauna experience (once/week).

The space
We have a total of two guest rooms, each on a separate listing. This listing is for the "Rose room", where you have lovely rose-themed wall paper, sturdy white-washed wooden floor boards, a lovely antique oak bed for one and a beautiful desk. The room is circled in purple on the floor plan.

As the house is built on a rise, the surrounding houses are mainly much lower. Therefore the views are very open, and there is privacy from the neighbors.

In addition to the room, you are welcome to use all common spaces, such as the kitchen, the bathroom and the living-dining space. Outside, you can enjoy the garden, as well as use the barbeque, if you wish.

Once a week you can book a sauna for 1-2 hours at no additional cost.

Where you’ll be

Espoo, Finland

This area is a calm and quiet suburb, inhabited by very common Finns. There are two lakes within a walking distance with some lovely outdoor paths. Also, for those who like a bit longer walks, the Träskända manor with its nature path is not too far.

Sello, one of the largest shopping malls of Finland is a few kilometres from here, and its location, Leppävaara, is also one of the biggest public transportation hubs in the city of Espoo. From there you have easy access to many directions, such as the city of Helsinki and the airport.

During your stay

We like to live in a way where everyone can feel at ease. Therefore you may come and go just as you please, as long as you are mindful of noise between 22:00-07:00.

If you wish to prepare your meals and eat at the same time with whomever is here, you are most welcome to share the table.

Also, any and all social activities, such as game or movie nights are open to anyone who wishes to join in.

We often spend time at our summer house, so we are not always here.
