The Mezzanine Pod is situated in a tranquil waterside location overlooking open farmland with no other units close by. Clad in cedar wood it enjoys plenty of natural daylight thanks to the large glazed doors and porthole windows.

Fully off-grid, solar panels power all lighting and kitchen appliances. The bedroom is on a mezzanine level, accessed via spiral steps. Two excellent pubs are within walking distance, as is Rushmere Country Park - ancient woodland with a visitor centre.

The space
The pod is an open space with a living area, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor. The bedroom is on a mezzanine level, accessed via a rustic spiral staircase.

Where you’ll be

Bragenham, England, United Kingdom

On the border between Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, the farm is within a short drive of both Leighton Buzzard and Milton Keynes. This makes us a great base for exploring these towns, as well as Bletchley Park and several National Trust properties within a 30-minute drive. We are approximately 45 minutes from Silverstone Circuit.

There are two excellent pubs within walking distance - the Three Locks which is on the Grand Union Canal, and the Old Red Lion in Great Brickhill, the next village. Both serve excellent food. About 2.5 miles away in Little Brickhill is the family-run George pub serving British and Mediterranean food.

At the end of the lane is the footpath leading into Rushmere Country Park (recently featured on BBC's Countryfile). This path passes the boundary of Alders Farm Fishery and Gun Range (contact them directly for bookings). Within Rushmere you will find a visitor centre, cafe, playground and refreshments kiosk - please check their website for opening hours. There are plenty of trails through the forest for walking, mountain biking and horse riding, and at the end of July 2021 the Rushmere Parkrun should start up again (9am every Saturday, this is a 5km run).
