Centrally located in Winterton comfortable for a singleton, couple or couple with child with a host of food outlets, pubs and shops conveniently located on your doorstep. Only 25mins from Humberside Airport. This compact self catering annexe is within the grounds of a family home with outside seating available to enjoy. Please note there are resident Cockerpoos on the grounds. We are pet-friendly and welcome well-behaved small dogs (one per stay only). Secure on-site parking for motorbikes.

The space
The Cottage is designed open plan to be light and airy with Scandi decor. The kitchenette is equipped for light cooking, and the desk in the lounge converts into a dining table for two. A standard double bed is provided though the sofa can be made into a single sofa bed too, if required, for a child to occupy (please note not suitable for adult use). The annexe is all on ground floor level and easily accessible with private entrance. There is a compact ensuite shower room and open face wardrobe/drawer space in the bedroom. Guests are welcome to share use of the garden/patio area, and can help themselves to herbs, lettuce and other produce from the mini allotment. There is secure private parking on site for motorbikes too.

The Cottage is centrally located with a Pizza Takeaway, Chinese Takeaway and Fish'n'Chip Shop moments away. There is also an Indian Takeaway a 5min walk away and two pubs within a stone's throw. The COOP, Tesco Express and Bakery have all that is needed for a short or long stay. Bus stops with links to Scunthorpe and Hull are on your doorstep. Being located on the High Street, there is surprisingly little noise disturbance. On-street parking is free (though restrictions are in place), and The Cottage does provide secure private parking on site for motorbikes. We are pet-friendly and welcome well-behaved small dogs (one per stay only) as the accommodation is compact. Please remember to keep your pet off the furniture, and not leave him/her unattended in the property. We have a poop scoop system in place with our own dog, and will show you how it works and where your pet can venture. There are lovely walks around the town. Our pet fee covers extra cleaning costs following your stay. Any unexpected pet damage in the property or on the grounds will be charged for.

After experiencing our first Airbnb stay in the summer of 2020, my family have taken the plunge to become Airbnb hosts ourselves. We lovingly renovated and redecorated our Annexe to make it cosy and inviting for family and friends, and thought Airbnb a great platform to also share our little Cottage with to meet new friends along the way. We welcome and understand a diverse range of cultures having lived in the Middle East, USA and having ties to Asia, so we are sure you will have a lovely stay with us. Our Cockerpoo loves visitors too.

During your stay

The Cottage is part of our family home so we do live on site and will be available to assist as required, but otherwise will leave you to enjoy your stay. Should you make use of the outdoor area/garden, we only ask you to ensure gates are closed to prevent our Cockerpoos from escaping. Please expect some reasonable noise from them, but we will do our utmost to keep them out of way and quiet during your stay.
