La Petite Maison is set in the most majestic part of the Gorges du Tarn, in a quiet location, 10 minutes from the medival village of St. Enimie, officially listed as one of the 'most beautiful villages of France'.

The area is a photographers dream! Breathtaking scenic views around almost every corner.

Theres something for everyone, whether looking for a quiet break or an adventure packed holiday. Great for couples, families, groups, and adventurers.

The space
La Petite Maison is a 46 m² traditional stone cottage, comprised of 3 floors. Guests will enter on the second floor comprised of a balcony with retractable awning and 2 chairs and a table, equipped kitchen with an electric stove with four burners and oven, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, kettle, dishes and silverware, a dining table with 4 chairs, a sleeper sofa with 2 twin beds, a television, cd player and writing desk (for your postcards), and a small box for the Wifi (so far only 3G and 4G).

Up the steep stairs or on the third floor, guests will find a retractable baby gate (if needed), a bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet, equipped with hand soap and towels. The master bedroom offers a double mattress, closet and a window with a view over the Cirque de Pougnadoires.

On ground level or the first floor is a small separate utility room with a water closet and washing machine, and a shower stall to rinse your feet..

We also keep coffee filters, tea and sugar on hand. Bed linens and towels are provided for all guests.

Our Petite Maison was previously used as the village's school house. The school bell still hangs above the house, a little piece of history!

La Petite Maison is only 10 minutes from Sainte Enimie, a typical medieval village, and 10 minutes from La Malène, the starting point for the Bateliers of Gorges du Tarn and canoe rentals.

All basic services are located in the 2 villages 10 minutes from our vacation rentals, although Sainte Enimie has more shops and a pharmacy. There are no shops in the hamlet, but a beautiful beach for fishing or swimming in the Tarn river.

You only have a quick 5 minute walk to the invigorating waters of the Tarn and be able to observe our neighborhood beavers and trout!

You can hike from the gîte, a path will take you to the trails of the Causse de Sauveterre, and more specifically to the small hamlet of Cabrunas. Another path of the Gorges du Tarn, follows the river on the opposite bank. Just swim across or get started in Ste Enimie, St Chély du Tarn, or in the opposite direction in La Malène.

The many sites and natural riches to visit are less than 30 minutes from La Petite Maison [Lozère].

During your stay

We will greet guests with our masks on in parking lot to take them to La Petite Maison as Google maps doesn't offer adequate directions. Indeed, there are no street names in Pougnadoires--
