This room is great for a family of 4 with a king sized bed and a single bunk bed and private patio. The room is on the main floor of the Jungle House Lodge, close to the rainforest and lodging includes breakfast and access to trails in the forest. You can access many of the activities that Sarapiqui has to offer by foot from here. You will be hosted by a local family working to preserve the rainforest!

Chilamate is a cool little rural town with a school, church, hardware store, grocery shop, bazar, coffee shop and ice cream store as well as two good restaurants, a bar and a great chocolate tour. There are several wildlife reserves including Chilamate Rainforest which make it an amazing place to spot wildlife and enjoy daily sightings of the endangered great green macaw.

I am originally from Vancouver, Canada but have lived in Costa Rica for the past 20 years. My Tico husband and I have created a family run rainforest conservation and sustainable tourism project called Chilamate Rainforest Eco Retreat in Sarapiqui, Costa Rica and we have started a new project in our home away from home in Playa Pelada, Nosara.
