The Cabin is a self contained space in the garden of a rural cottage in The South Downs National Park. It consists of a kitchen with oven/hob, fridge and microwave and table and chairs. A bathroom with a shower. A large space with a double bed, sofa, wood burner and tv, there is also a camp bed or travel cot available.

It sits beautifully with views of fields and has access out of the back gate to Alice Holt Forest containing a historical arboretum, Go ape and the popular Gruffalo trail.

The space
The Cabin is a great spot for Bird spotting with many species of birds of prey nesting in the forest and deer that graze in the field nextdoor a fantastic base for walking and exploring the Surrey countryside. It is just outside Bentley village 4.2 miles from Farnham and 1 mile from Bentley station with a 1 hour train link to London Waterloo. There is a pub 0.4 miles away that serves a delicious roast.
Other popular local attractions are Frensham ponds (3.8m), Birdworld, Jane Austins House, a number of wedding venues including Blacknest Golf and Country club within half a mile.
There are an abundance of country walks and cycle paths just outside the back gate.
Dogs are allowed but we kindly ask for them to be kept on the lead whilst in the garden as we have small children (a charge of £15 per visit will be added for dog/s so please mention at booking).

We moved to Blacknest Cottage (September 2020) as a family of 3 with our second son arriving in a matter of weeks after. We were blown away by the idyllic location and were lucky enough to gain a lovely space for guests. My background is in veterinary medicine working for years as a Vet nurse and finally becoming the pharmacy and supplies manager at the local equine Hospital. I put that on hold to have my two sons so am now a busy house wife. My husband works for an IT company and shares his time between the company office and ours in the garden.
