Traditional quaint Japanese village with fantastic snow (up to 12 meters/year!) and plenty of public onsens to enjoy at the end of a long day on the slopes. The locals are really friendly and the town is beautiful. And as an extra bonus, Nozawa was the host of the 1998 Winter Olympics! |

During the summer, the gondolas open for mountain biking activities.
You may get your mountain bikes and other accessories at Compass House Nozawa (located at Nagasaka gondola). |
For ski equipment rental during the winter, we highly recommend Sports Thanx (Nagasaka gondola) or St Anton (Hikage gondola). The shops will store your equipment overnight including the boots, so no need to carry everything back to the house, super practical! And the next morning everything is dry and warm.
