Our towerhouse - the Njalla- is an iconic playfull version of a Sami food and storage house. Our coloumn is out of steel, and measured for winds up to 100 m/s. Winds that we never had here. The Njalla is only offered a few times as sleeping pod. We want most of the year to let it be a shared reading house, but sometimes you need to sleep there. Ex in december and january when Aurora brings her purple-green dress and dances over the sky.

Our island is an old fishermans village, with around 25 houses. We have no cars, only friendly neighbors and in case you didn't know: you can walk anywhere in Norway. Pay though attentions to dog leash restrictions and know that you should walk on the paths in may and June in order to save the nesting birds on the ground

Welcome to the Arctic Hideaway, a very special cluster of tiny houses the arctic norwegian archipelago Fleinvær, outside city Bodø.
Our place is an architecturally playful and stunning collection of eleven individual buildings, where five are sleeping cabins. The shared areas are the iconic tower house , the kitchen house, the studio building, the bath house, the crab trap (a shelter for outdoor cooking) and the sauna. Periods for offering cabins for rent on Airbnb will vary, as we also have direct booking through email.

The Arctic Hideaway is an experience like few others. Our space is as much as a mindset as it is a physical location — a place to unplug and unwind. It is a place that will give you visual tranquillity and no noise. It is truly a transformative experience staying here. Simplicity at its finest gives the opportunity to explore the art of doing nothing.

The whole compound can sleep up to 10 guests. It is an ideal location for retreats and workshop! If you are interested in visiting us at another time or arrange an event, please do send us an email and we will do our best to help you coordinate and epic experience at our facility.
