This tiny house was built using mostly reclaimed materials. It is off grid, powered by solar power. Walking distance to hiking trails and only a few minutes drive from a beautiful winery and amazing views. We describe it like glorified camping, you get all the fun camping experiences, having a campfire, snuggling up in blankets and hanging out. But without sleeping on the ground in a tent or using a bush as your bathroom. We are close to Jasper, Ellijay and 16 min from Amicalola Falls.

The space
The house is 112 sq ft but has everything you need in it. A queen bed, a table and a bench to sit and relax. The solar power is enough to charge your cell phone and have the lights on. Currently there is not a shower but we do offer body wipes. The outhouse is a composting toilet. There is a small propane heater to take the chill off in the winter time. The windows create a nice breeze in the summer and the provide sunlight and warmth in the winter. Also there is no refrigeration, you can bring a cooler if you need to keep things cold. We also keep honeybees on the property, they shouldn't bother you but something to think about if you are allergic to bee stings. We are by a highway, it's not real busy and pretty quiet at night. I feel this also needs to added since I get questions about it, the bathroom is an outhouse (composting toilet) there is not a shower right now, but plan to add an offgrid one in the future. There is no running water! We provide 7 1/2 gallons out of our well for drinking/washing dishes.

We love it here. Beautiful views, hiking trails within walking distance. Close to wineries, biking, hiking, waterfalls, ziplines, Ellijay, orchards, Blue Ridge and so much that North Georgia has to offer.

I love all things homesteading, I grew up on a large farm in the Midwest. There I had chickens, berries, apples and a garden. We took the oppunituniy to move to Georgia for a career oppunituniy. Once in North Georgia we realized how beautiful and how many things there is to do for outdoorsy folks like us. I am getting back to my old ways and have planted a garden for canning, apple trees, chickens and now have added honeybees. If you have any questions about any of it please don't hesitate to ask. We also enjoy hiking when time allows and mountain biking. If you want any advice on what to do, we will try our best to help.
