Nestled into the Algoma Mountains is our charming lodge. Our exposed log cabins and private rooms in our guest lodge are all surrounded by mature spruce, birch and maple trees. Because of our unique location we are on a major flight path for northern migrating birds. We are along the sacred Goulais River, which is home to many different fish species all making their way to Lake Superior. This is some of the best fishing in the world. We also offer kayak and canoes to explore the river.

The space
Located in Searchmont in the mountains on the Goulais River, Mountainview Lodge has it all. This is a private room with their own bath, refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer and use of BBQ (we supply the propane). The room is located in our main lodge. Views of the mountain and a huge fire pit. Snowmobiling trails from the property, ski hill 5km away, quading, fishing and hunting. Hammocks and walking trails down by the river. kayak and canoe rentals.Free highspeed wifi, satellite tv.

The owners have a separate residence on site 24 hours a day and can arrange any guided tours or canoe and kayak rentals as needed. I am available to offer help throughout stay and will keep in touch by airbnb messenger, phoning the lodge, or if you stop by the main office during the hours of 9am-5pm.
