Welcome to our little paradise in beautiful Bayerisch Eisenstein in the Bayerischer Wald. We are the new owners of a charming, spacious house with a view of the Großer Arber. Centrally located, but with the forest at your doorstep. The Waldbahn, only 200m away, gives you free access to the rest of the Bavarian Forest. Potential for a car-free getaway with friends or extended family. Plenty of space to relax, let the kids play and unwind in this beautiful setting.

The space
The house has a rustic, bohemian charm. An open plan ground floor with living room, dining room and fully-equipped kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle), opening out to a large wooden terrace on the side of the house. Sit out on the terrace after a day of fresh air and exercise to enjoy the relaxing sound of the stream running along the side of the house. The terrace has a spacious eating area with additional easy chairs to sit and relax. Grill is available.
One bathroom/toilet is also located on the ground floor. The large hallway also offers plenty of space for shoes, jackets and storage of other outdoor equipment.
If required, the double sofa in living room converts into another double bed.

First floor: 2 comfy double bedrooms and 2 bedrooms with bunk beds and single beds offer ample sleeping space. A bathroom with bathtub and separate shower, plus a separate WC also on this floor.

Available: a selection of kids toys, a games cupboard in the living room and a selection of English/German books & magazines to keep you entertained.

There are two free parking spots in front of the house.

Should you wish to bring a dog, please send us an extra written request. Dogs are restricted to the Ground floor only.

Why do we love this house, this village?
The clean air, the peace and quiet - off the beaten track - the natural beauty and geographical position. You have direct access to the beauty of the Bayerischer Wald - hiking/biking routes to Schwellhäusl, Falkenstein and Grosser Arber, plus local restuarants (one quiet one just next door), small grocery store, museums, and the Wanderpark on your doorstep. The Czech side offers additionally a popular bakery, an amazing cake shop and of course access to the Sumava/ old Bohemian Forest.
Large supermarkets can be found in Zwiesel (15 min away by car) and just over the border.

During your stay

Local tourist information and a "handbook" for the house & surrounding area will be available for you at the house.

As hosts we are available by phone to clarify any questions/uncertainties on arrival or later in the week.

The local tourist tax/"Kurtax" is 2,00 EUR per night for adults and 1,00 EUR for children from 6 - 16 years (charged in addition to the cost of your accommodation). In return you receive various discounts in the area plus a free bus and train ticket to travel 1100km through the "Arberland" and the Nationalpark Bayerischer Wald. The Tourist Information office - just 5 minutes walk away from the house will issue you with your complimentary Nationalpark Card.
