Quaint bungalow on brick street with private parking. Wifi, comfortable common spaces, a stocked kitchen, quality beds & linens. Home is situated only blocks from Ottawa University and downtown. University parents can easily walk to campus or City Park. This home belonged to my Grandmother and is newly renovated with refinished floors, paint inside/out, plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Come enjoy a "throw back" experience. No pets allowed due to allergens (including hypo allergenic breeds.

The space
The Hickory House has inviting porches for relaxation or dining. There is ample seating inside for family meals or gatherings. All of the furnishings were chosen to reflect on era's gone by - eclectic and original pieces. It is a small home but cozy and accommodating for an overnight or extended stay. Kitchen has small and large appliances, full set of dishes and utensils, table linens, stemware and basic condiments. All mattresses, towels, and pillows are new. The home is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between visitors. Laundry is also run through sanitization cycles. No pets allowed due to allergens (including hypo-allergenic breeds).

This one block stretch of Hickory has houses on only one side of the road. The street is still the original old brick! Most of the people who live in this neighborhood have been in their homes for many years. The area is very quiet and relaxing. City Park is less then a block away and the Flint Hills Nature Trail is nearby as well as a bicycle rental shop. Historic buildings are close by for an evening walk.
