Great location
90% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Our house in the heart of downtown Sarasota allows for short walk to cafes, restaurants, and events in Van Wezel, Symphony, Opera, and most of theaters. 9-10 min. walk to Starbucks, Whole Foods, and the downtown Farmer's Market. Lido Beach/St.Armands only 10 min. by car (beach chairs, towels, umbrellas are available). Open space, NYC loft design provides a spacious oasis for a couple. The kitchen is well equipped for home cooking. Fast Wi-Fi and cable included.

The space
Single family house with open space from floor to roof and only one inside door. The inside space has a nice relaxing feeling to it. There is all you might need but no clutter. Kitchen is well-equipped for minimal to daily cooking and baking with stove top, oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, hand-held mixer and two kinds of coffee-making machines. Nespresso with milk frother for expresso or capuccino and traditional twelve-cup drip machine.
Dining area comfortably sits six.
Our living room has two sofas and a chair again sitting up to six people. There is a smart TV with cable, internet access, and Blue-ray DVD player.
Work desk with a chair provides view into a small inner courtyard and is well-lit for reading or writing. Wi-Fi is available with good signal in the whole house.
There is a king-size bed in the bedroom area which is separated from the rest of the house only by a low partition.
Adjacent spacious bathroom features sink, toilet, and a walk-in shower.
Original entry area is converted into a walk-in closet with a rack for clothes hangers, tall mirror, shoe rack and a bench.
When the garage door gets pulled up you discover a set of French doors which provide the kitchen and dining area with natural light and sense of the indoor being part of the out door.
The large indoor open space can be difficult to air-condition in the heat of the summer, so if you like a very cold inside temperature, I would not recommend coming to our house between May and September. If the outside temperature stays around 90 degrees the inside of the house will not be chilled under 78 degrees during daytime. There is a large floor fan available and we had guests staying during our hottest month of August very happily but I think this should be said for a full disclosure.
The small yard surrounding half of the house is completely fenced-in and provides enough space to park a car, let your dog run loose, and mainly sit and relax outside.

Where you’ll be

Sarasota, Florida, United States

Our neighborhood edges downtown and Rosemary district. As the downtown rapidly expands it's being developed into condo buildings, hotels and high-rises. We are the middle row of the three remaining streets from the 1950's. The neighbors are mostly younger people renting the other houses and apartments.
