We are so excited to offer a unique Airbnb package for the holiday season. Our theme for 2022 is inspired by children’s books and nature- The House of Wizardry!

From Oct 1 - Dec 31 2022, bookings will include:

* Tastefully decorated holiday themed Airbnb

* Prepared brunch, delivered by a former chef turned cottage baker

* 30 min Family portrait session

* Hidden kids corridor, with costumes, books and toys

* Lux bath potions & fully stocked snack stash for the grown ups.

The space
You’ll be staying in a space that was created by two event professionals with rugged kiddos, who love the City of Chicago, urban homesteading, and are going all out to deliver a unique holiday experience.

We all need a little more wonder, joy and connection in our lives, so allow us to provide that for you!

Upon arrival you’ll notice that our tree was decorated by the @spokepockettefarm elves Pumpkin and Ginger… they’ve placed dried botanical installations with levitating candles, mysteriously floating on the ceiling through out the apartment, and the back bunk-room has been visited by butterflies.

Did someone try to contact you? It looks like there are hundreds of envelopes coming through the fireplace in the main bedroom. Did you find one with your name on it?

• The photography service included with this package allows for a 30 min session either at our Airbnb, or 1 mile away at neighboring forest preserve.

• One prepared breakfast will be delivered to you by a local chef on the first morning of your trip so you aren’t scrambling to find food after a long day of travel.

• Your littles will each get their very own writing quill, travel journal and be vey entertained upon discovering the secret passageway staircase with costumes, magical decor and beloved books.

• Also, did we mention the fully stocked snack stash!?

Take what you need - Mac n cheese, late night Oreos… it’s for guests while they’re here.

• Hot tub - At night when everyone is sleeping, you can take a soak or treat yourself to the spa like selection of bath items in the mini apothecary.

• We’ll supply you with travel journals and a writing quill for each kiddo, and a curated list of recommended outings catered to your interests.

As we are an urban homestead you’ll also get see our work in process operation as we convert a typical suburban lawn into an native landscape.

Just two blocks from the Metra train, 30 mins to downtown Chicago, bordering two charming and walkable communities with parks, historic architecture & cafes.

We offer a cozy space for people traveling with littles. Good coffee, a room for gathering and playing games, a crib in a private baby nook, backyard for nature themed play and a hot tub for busy parents in a quiet tree lined street.

Our private first floor apartment is located in a 100+ year old home, and will sleep up to 4 adults. Maximum Capacity for the entire apartment is 7 people.

We're an easy distance from several parks, La Familia fresh market and a favorite coffee shop called Lunges N Lattes.

From our front door you can also stroll to neighboring Riverside, visit the forest preserves, Proksa and Hessler Park, LaVergene's Tavern and enjoy public art along the way.

You'll be a short drive from Morton Arboretum's incredible Children's Garden, 30 min from 31st Beach and Brookfield Zoo which are popular destinations for our guests.

If you’re curious, you’re invited to check out our “Pockette farm” with plants that support native wild life, fruit trees, organic veggies and a pocket-sized flower farm.

“The home was beautiful, clean, and had warm touches everywhere to make our stay as comfortable as possible.”

- Abena

Parents and music makers. Favorite adventure was cycling down Pacific highway 101. We couch surfed on our honeymoon in Iceland and stayed in hostels and home stays before airbnb.

Hosting was a natural fit for us!

Julia splits her time between working in the wedding industry, making music, and schlepping our kiddos via cargo bike.

Charlie is a live audio engineer, obsessed with kettle bells, grilling and working on on our bicycles.

We love discovering new and unsung places to tell friends and guests about. We hope to spend a good portion of 2021/2022 showing guests our favorite off the beaten path finds via bicycle!

We met at a rock club in 2007 and moved to Berwyn in 2016. Charlie grew up in the west burbs and Julia has been an Illinois resident for nearly 20 years.

We love Berwyn for its uniqueness, kind people and proximity to the city.

Someday we want to buy land and create a sustainable artisan community. We both love nature and feel a passion for protecting it.
