Where you’ll be

Chelmorton, United Kingdom

Chelmorton is a classic White Peak limestone village set in stunning upland scenery and a very quiet and peaceful village. It is one of the highest villages not only in Derbyshire, but all of England and this region is known locally as Top Country.

One of the dominant features of the White Peak landscape are the limestone walls and there is nowhere better to see these than in and around Chelmorton. The local community is very warm and welcoming with many small farms dotted up and down the village, don't be surprised to see cows and sheep wandering up the village (and sometimes hiding out in the garden!)

The village is set predominantly along the main street which runs all the way to the bottom of Chelmorton Low. Here you will find the Church of St John the Baptist and standing opposite is the fab Peak District pub, The Church Inn. Here you will find great homemade food, local ales and a very warm welcome.
