The space
The space
This tastefully restored, historical property is located in a conservation area, on the site where a Saxon King once lived, there are many reminders of the local history in this beautiful and tranquil setting.

Located at the end of a private drive, the property boasts beautiful views onto its historical 1.75 acre gardens, whilst having many modern amenities including a large kitchen diner, a great place for entertaining, plus two spacious reception rooms and plenty of space within the property.

The large dining table offers a great space to gather and enjoy food together, the kitchen is usually stocked with various ingredients and the wine fridge offers an honesty box for use of its contents!

Downstairs consists of a hallway into a large family area, that has a large dining room table with plenty of comfy seating, leading into the kitchen area and out to the stunning garden.
A large traditional, lounge area, with spacious sofas, a TV and original open fireplace, offers more space to relax and enjoy.

Four good sized king and double bedded rooms; two can be made up as two singles, allows for a family or a couple of families to gather and enjoy it's tranquil location to unwind, relax and to explore the local area.
Some bed configurations may be adapted to offer two singles in bedrooms, if required, please ask for more information.
If there is a ninth guest this can be accommodated on a mattress or Z bed.

Bathrooms
A large traditionally restored family bathroom includes toilet bath and shower.
Two of the king rooms have en suites which include electric showers and macerator toilets,
these require some consideration with waste materials as not plumbed directly into mains drainage.
There is a cloakroom toilet and basin downstairs.

The garden is a beautiful place to sit and read and relax with 200 year old redwoods and stunning rhododendrons a whole host of wildlife rabbits and pheasants strolling by and sometimes sheep and livestock reside in the adjacent field.

There are a few outdoor seating options with a large patio outside of the bi folds, the bistro area out the front, plus another smaller tables and chairs.
Plenty of space to gather together and also to escape to a quiet spot too.

The house has Spotify and Netflix although we at all times ask that our neighbours are fully considered with music noise levels, due to the tranquil setting.

The house had been tastefully restored with many modern additions whilst keeping its original charm and character.
