A well-appointed home will be fantastic for anyone wanting to stay in Midlothian/Chesterfield & is 25 mins from Richmond. Sleeps 10-16, see "the space" for details, 2.5 baths, 2 dining & a living room! The outdoor kitchen will offer plenty of opportunities to grill while enjoying the patio, w/table/chairs & fire pit, or the screened-in porch, w/TV. The indoor kitchen is fully-stocked & large enough to prepare meals for family & friends. Commercial whole house water filtration system included.
The space
Drive into a private quiet neighborhood and enter a 3000 square foot home with all the amenities of "HOME". The tall foyer will welcome you with plants and a warm greeting from your host. An office equipped with a shredder, a large screen (attach your computer), and a printer is to the right. Please just take note and walk by, you are here to relax and enjoy family or friends. Also to your right is the dining room which seats 7-9 with a country-style table. On your left are the stairs that will curve up to the second-floor beds and baths, skip this for now and keep moving forward.
The cute half-bath, to your right, is off the foyer on your way to the eat-in kitchen, seats 4 at the glass table with colorful place settings. Wow, look at that kitchen, fully equipped, an island that seats 4, large pantry, fully operational appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator, range/oven, toaster oven), and a coffee maker (makes 12 cups in a thermal carafe. Behind you is the living room sporting a smart tv, soundbar, fireplace, fish tank, guitar (sometimes I take it with me), ukulele, comfortable couch, large chair, rocking recliner, and love sofa.
What-the-what??? Is that a screened-in porch with a ceiling fan, propane fire pit table, and seating for 5-7? Ok, so the door is a little tricky to unlock and open. Lift up on the handle to unlock both latches (safety first if you want to sleep out here, the furniture can be arranged into a full-sized bed). In the winter, the porch is equipped with inserts to use as an additional room and nicely heated with the propane fire pit and radiator heater (keep the fan on, it gets hot in here).
Look at that back patio, it has a fire pit, outdoor kitchen (grill and side burner), a table that sits 6, and is nicely landscaped. Ahhhh, this is my favorite room in the house. Bring a cooler down and enjoy a nice drink and soak up the sun or bring a book and lay in the hammock (found on the screen porch). Cushions for the fire pit chairs are under the screened-in porch, and there are extra chairs, and corn hole boards (bags found on the screened porch).
Alright, let's see the upstairs. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 king and 2 queen beds, all with high quality and comfortable mattresses (each are encased and has a mattress protector). The master bedroom has an electric fireplace and an attached large bathroom complete with a soaking tub and a very large shower with a regular shower head and soothing rain shower. There is a hall full bath and each bedroom has 2 towels and washcloths, an extra pillow and blanket, and 2 luggage racks. The two king rooms have TVs and one, not the master, has workout equipment, free weights, a weight bench, a water-resistant rower, and games in the closet. The master bedroom does have a massage chair for after your workout, please shower first! Speaking of, all showers have shampoo, conditioner, and liquid body wash. Each bedroom, minus one, has lamps which have USB ports to charge your devices. The two king rooms have ceiling fans and the queen rooms have fans in the closet. The master closet is where you will find the extra inflatable mattresses, there are 3 and a memory foam mattress. Please use the mattress protectors provided for all extra beds.
The garage is the only place, besides the locked owner's closet, that is off-limits during your stay except for placing the recycling in the bins. It has tools and personal items that do not fit in the owner's closet and a refrigerator with our food in it.
The house has a full home water filter so no need to purchase bottled water.
Please, always, let me know if you have any suggestions to make your visit better or if there are issues with the house (lightbulbs out, something does not work etc.)
ENJOY YOUR STAY!
