If you are looking for a stress free laid back vibe then you have certainly found it! This adorable dog friendly renovated ranch is only 4 homes away from the Delaware bay. Enjoy an early morning bike ride or jog at Cox Hall Creek. Grab some crabs and sit out back in the private, completely fenced yard. Take your chairs and cocktails to the beach to watch the most amazing sunsets! Chill out by the fire pit or play a game of horseshoes. Enjoy the peace & escape the crowds in your own oasis!
The space
The cottage has a real beachy feel. The kitchen is large with plenty of room to cook. there are loads of pots and pans, dishes glasses mugs and wine glasses. We have a keurig, a traditional coffee maker, toaster, knife block and blender as well as a dishwasher and microwave. The indoor table currently seats 5 but you can definitely add a chair for a 6th.
The Living room has a sectional couch, a gas fireplace cable TV and outside exit to a nautical front deck with a table and seating for four.
The master bedroom has a comfy queen bed, cable TV, a large closet and a second closet where the full size washer and dryer are located.
The 2nd bedroom with a full size bed also has cable TV and a large closet.
The 3rd bedroom has two twin beds and a large closet.
The bathroom has a good sized vanity for storage and a shower tub combo.
There are new windows throughout and new gas heat and central air. All of the rooms have ceiling fans.
The backyard is huge, completely fenced and offers an outdoor table with umbrella and seating for 6. You can cook out on the new gas grill. There is also a wood burning fire pit with 4 adirondack chairs, a hammock and a shed housing at least 6 beach chairs and a beach umbrella. The added bonus....an outside shower!
The best part of the cottage is it's location. Only 4 houses from the Delaware Bay beach. It's perfect for lounging, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, walking your dog and watching absolutely breathtaking sunsets! This part of the bay isn't ideal for swimming as it's kind of mucky and shallow but that doesn't stop some people!
The cottage is located only 5 miles from Harpoon Henry's and the Bay beach in front. It's awesome for swimming and lounging on rafts. If you want the ocean, waves and lifeguards, Cape May and Wildwood beaches are a short 20 minute drive. You can even hit Stone Harbor or Avalon.
There are many places to get fresh seafood and don't miss The best pizza (Rinos), ice cream (Flecks) and new England clam chowder at Jakes. Remember, you can always access the fancier restaurants in Cape May. Many get their vegetables from Beach Plum Farm which is also a must see!
The Cape May lighthouse, Cox Hall Creek WMA, perfect for biking/walking/jogging and many wineries and breweries are also close by.
