Where you’ll be

Haselbachtal, Sachsen, Germany

The Hazel Valley and the district of Gersdorf are quietly located and at the same time an ideal starting point for various excursions to the region. Numerous cycling and hiking trails invite you to get to know the immediate surroundings. Kamenz - birthplace of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing - and the peppercake town of Pulsnitz are a short drive (10 minutes) away. Dresden takes about 30 minutes by car. Saxon Switzerland with the Elbe sandstone mountains, Bad Schandau with the border to the Czech Republic or Upper Lusatia, Bautzen, Görlitz and Bad Muskau are also within easy reach.
In the village there is a baker and butcher with a small aunt Emma shop and an ice cream parlour (each about 5 minutes by walk). A supermarket is about 15 min walk or 5 min by car. It is also only a short walk to the nearby outdoor swimming pools in Bischheim or Pulsnitz.

I'm living near Dresden, and I love travelling, meeting new people but most of all learning about their culture and living close to locals instead of spending my time in fancy 5* hotels. I work in a PR agency.
