I have two cabins on Houston County Lake that rent separately. Each has two rooms and two bathrooms with a loft. The Master Bedroom has a queen bed with a private bathroom. Guest room has a full size bunk bed that can sleep 4. The loft has a queen mattress.

The kitchen has a microwave, stove with an oven, refrigerator, sink, and dishwasher. Each cabin has Dish TV and limited WIFI from a hotspot on Verizon. Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T all have limited service but Verizon works well out there.

The space
These are cabins surrounded by sand and dirt so expect some dust to come in with you. The last 5 miles of the drive are down a "Red Dirt Road" and it can be very bumpy at times. If it rains, it'll be more of a challenge but we've never had anyone get stuck or have issues. You will leave with dirt on your vehicles, but that's part of the attraction for us. We're off the beaten path but once you get there, it's beautiful and away from almost everyone.

The driveway is very steep but covered in rock so it's safe. There is more than one entry if the driveway concerns you.

No central AC or Heat. We use individual AC units and small heaters for each space.

Where you’ll be

Our neighborhood is down a private road and we rarely interact with neighbors unless we're trying to. You may see boaters fishing or you may hear hunters across the lake. Never had any issues. Once we're out there we turn up the music a bit. We've hosted dances on the deck, Holiday meals, movies, and games outside.

I'm almost always available via text or a phone call for any issues. Sometimes we'll be near the cabins in our motorhome if needed. We also have some great neighbors at the top of the hill who can help out if needed.
