Camping on the farm is a unique way to accommodate semi self sufficient campers. Most require 4-wheel drive. If you have a 2-wd or prefer some facilities choose : BLUE WREN, GREY FANTAIL or WILLY WAGTAIL, all adjacent to the sheds and walking distance from the flush toilet next to the sheds. The space
WILLIE WAGTAIL Camp Site is a natural York gum treed area with two large pine trees as well, with natural grass and soft soil on the greater farm yard area close to the flushing toilet which is next to the sheds. Specially chosen as a nice camp site, but also for easy 2wd access. The site is between trees but not directly under them. Farm Power (10A) for tents can be made available as an extra option for $10 per night. Relax by the fire place gazing at the amazing milky way in pristine clear skies. Make brekky in the morning sun. Hear all the parrots and other birds. Relax on your camping chair. From here you can easily access all the walking routes. The 260 acre farm has open parkland areas, vineyards, cropping, sheep grazing often with lambs, dense natural bush where the bush camps are located, pine forrest with camp sites, a Tagasate plantation, York gum, Manna gum and Banksia tree natural forrest and wild flowers all over in season. The main farmhouse camp area has a lovely variety of trees especially huge gum trees. Running routes along the gravel roads in three directions are loved by runners, bikers and walkers alike.

Jabez farm near Moora, is in the centre of 6 different towns and road houses. Many roads converge to three that leads to the farm from different directions. The farm is blessed with lovely clear underground water. Lots of good fresh water places draw birds: 5 bird baths and 2 fish ponds in the gardens, several drinking troughs all over the farm and lots of trees, flowers and bush. This makes it a magnet for birds and other natural wild life. More than 45 bird species are seen regularly. We often see bobtail goannas, lizards, echidnas, kangaroos, foxes, rabbits and emus on or around the farm. Every camp spot is named after some frequently occurring bird or animal in that area.

During your stay

Farmers and other guests are normally friendly but please respect their privacy and never interfere with other camp spots. They will readily interact, assist or help out when they can. There are almost always some people within easy reach in case of need for help or emergency either on our farm, the guest house or the neighbouring farms.
BLUE WREN SPOT and GREY FANTAIL SPOT are close enough together for two groups to book together so that the two groups can interact but also be separate as needed.
