The space
Living space in the cottage is studio style where living space blends into dining/kitchen space with a cozy wood stove. Kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils, including coffee maker, kettle, pans, pots etc to make your stay comfortable.
Outdoor space is facing the beautiful Saint John River, patio offers a love seat where you can enjoy a glass of wine, a book or the serenity of the space. You can use our private dock for your meals or swimming. There are walking, four wheeler and snow mobile trails that are accessible directly from our property.
The road in front of the cottage has little traffic and is suitable for the morning jog if that's your thing. Or you can enjoy a morning yoga routine on the grass field adjacent to the cottage. Your choice.
We can provide details on multiple hikes available in the area, including Coac Falls, Maliseet Trail, Pokiok Nature trails, and Nackawic waterfront trail. You can visit Kings Landing Historical Village within 20 min drive or the Big Axe Brewery, which is next door, offering fresh craft beer. You can try your hand at axe throwing. There's also Shogomoc trail with a beautiful suspension bridge.
Area is perfect for summer and winter sports. You can go on a canoe and kayak trip (boats not provided). 5 minute drive offers a golf course. Skiing is only 20 minutes drive to Crabbe Mountain. Mactaquac Provincial Park is 25 minute drive which includes Tree-Go treetop adventures (obstacle course and zipline) and many other amenities.
