Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Shanklin, a unique, secluded Log Cabin for ONE or TWO ADULTS ONLY with KeySafe entry.
It's a short, safe, walk into town, offering shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, theatre, supermarkets, beach & the 'Old Village & Chine'.
The Cabin offers a compact & bijou studio style layout, with a standard size double bed, well equipped kitchenette, TV, WiFi, fridge/freezer, en-suite shower & spacious terrace with gas BBQ. Awarded #superhost status.

The space
The South-West facing cabin is situated in the garden of my 1970s bungalow. The accommodation is all on ground floor level, with one step to be negotiated on the illuminated entrance pathway. It has a luxury rattan Bistro style dining table and chairs which can be used inside or out.
There is comfortably room for 1 or 2 ADULTS ONLY with TV, WiFi, Amazon Echo Show (Alexa) and dual USB charger sockets on either side of the bed.
My washing machine and tumble dryer are available for use on request. There is an external washing line that you are welcome to use to dry your washing and/or beach towels.

Your host, Malc, along with Gucci & Tilly (his resident, friendly, female cats), look forward to welcoming you to the Isle of Wight.

The accommodation is not suitable for wheel-chair users - sincere apologies.

The Cabin's semi-rural location is ideal for walkers, cyclists, car drivers, motor bikers and scooterists and only a 5 minute drive to the beach. You will
have FREE off-road parking.
Shanklin was originally a popular post-Victorian holiday resort town, located in Sandown Bay (Sandown & Shanklin).
Access to the seafront & beach can be made by road or by foot.
You can reach the walkable access to the seafront with a comfortable 15 minute pleasant walk into Shanklin Old Village then down the shady, tree lined Chine Avenue. The picturesque Shanklin Chine can also be accessed from the Old Village, exiting the Chine onto the beach and The Fisherman's Cottage.
Alternatively, you can walk along the cliff path and take the lift to the seafront, where there are plenty of watering holes. The 'Fisherman's Cottage' right on the beach, The Steamer Inn or The Waterfront are popular places to eat and drink, with plenty of outside tables, or walk in The Salix and have your breakfast al fresco only feet away from the beach and bay.
Should you decide to drive, then there are 3 car parks on the seafront, usually providing ample parking opportunities. Parking charges apply.

I am a retired Hospitality & Catering Lecturer and my home is situated adjacent to The Cabin, separated by wooden trellis and recently planted shrubs and evergreens.
The cabin is for YOUR sole use and you will not be disturbed by your host.
I have lived on the Isle of Wight for over 60 years and am usually available to provide local information, advice and guidance, if required. I can point you in the right direction for the best places to dine out, visitor attractions, beaches, walks etc.
