The space
The house dates back to 1832 but underwent complete renovation in 2015 to become a fully modern luxury residence. It is still very much a part of the winery, however, with the granite lagares used for treading grapes attached to the back, and the armazen with 8 meter stainless steal vats storing ports in the cellar*.

The main house has four en-suite bedrooms, each with stunning views of the Douro River and the vineyards of the Quinta. There are two additional bedrooms, also en suite, in an annex adjacent to the main house.

The house is equipped with a comfortable living room that leads out onto a terrace with panoramic views of the valley and river. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen with dining table for up to 10-12 people.

Outside, you will have full access to the orange grove and Gricha Garden, which span four lush, expertly curated terraces and an infinity pool with unmatched views of the valley and river.

Quinta da Gricha is nestled into a north-facing slope over looking the Douro River in the Cima Corgo sub-region of the Douro Valley. It is a grade-A vineyard producing world class vintage port and boasting one of the greatest views to be had in the Douro.

In addition to wandering the gardens, basking by the pool, or reading on the terrace, there are many great hikes to be taken and nearby vineyards to explore, to which we are happy to direct you.

In terms of towns, the Quinta is located near the town of Everdosa do Douro about a 25 minute drive from Pinhão.

We are a boutique port house and Douro winery based in Porto and the Douro Valley. The farmhouse and gardens on our 50 hectare quinta have been beautifully restored and we are thrilled to share them with the world. Usually, we run the residence as a nightly room-let operation (like a super-small boutique hotel), but in response to the Covid 19 situation we are renting out the whole house for periods this summer.
