Erewhon Cottage is surrounded by native bush and is only a few minutes walk to the river and beach. This traditional kiwi holiday home is great for families, couples, and solo adventurers. The home features native rimu furniture and an eclectic collection of art. The cottage has a lovely garden with outside seating. Perfect for spotting the native bird life and taking in the peaceful surrounds. Many of the Catlins attractions are a short drive from Papatowai. It's a great base to explore from.

The space
Family friendly, self-contained holiday home with three bedrooms (queen bed, double and single).
All linen and towels are provided.
Surrounded by beautiful bush, the private garden features outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ.
Full kitchen with oven, microwave oven, utensils and of course wine glasses! Tea and coffee are provided.

Erewhon is situated in Papatowai, a picturesque seaside village only three minutes walk to the beach and river. Many of the Catlin's famous attractions are within 20 minutes drive. Walks to stunning waterfalls, beautiful beaches, caves, blowholes and famous rock formations are all close by. It is an ideal base for exploring the Cathedral Caves, Kaka Point, Nugget Point, Porpoise Bay and the Petrified Forest of Curio Bay. You can see dolphins, seals, sea lions, penguins. The famous Lost Gypsy Gallery is just across the road and good surf beaches just over the hill. The country store is just a couple of minutes walk away too.
