Where you’ll be

Verdelot, Île-de-France, France

It is a privileged environment to live in this small part of the countryside. In an immediate environment, the valley of the little Morin is rich in discoveries and landscapes for those who love walks and hikes, but also in local products ( cheeses of Brie, cider, honey...), and various activities (communal outdoor swimming pool 5 kms, canoeing - kayaking, boat rides, visit of classified gardens, horse riding..). For amateurs, a Buddhist community even offers one-day mindfulness meditation courses upon registration.
Beyond the proximity of Paris, the Seine and Marne is a department also rich in cultural assets ( castles such as Provins, Vaux le Vicomte or Fontainebleau, museums, events, art galleries) and fun ( Parc des Félins, Disneyland Paris in Marne la Vallée).
From our location, we are also at the crossroads of 2 other departments ( and distinct regions) : the Marne is rich in discoveries in cultural heritage ( Reims and its cathedral are a 1-hour drive away, Epernay too ) and historical ( battles of the Great War), not forgetting its vineyard lands and Champagne cellars. L’Aisne, also very close, is known as a picardous region for the richness of its cathedrals and beautiful forests, but... let yourself be surprised by the south of this department : Condé en Brie, residence of the princes, or the city of Château -Thierry, about twenty kms away, where is the native house of Jean de la Fontaine, and his summer show of raptors « Les Aigles de Château - Thierry». It will also be an opportunity to change valleys , and discover the first hillsides of Champagne.
Having lived in this small corner of France for 30 years, and although not from the region, we will be able to advise you as best as possible according to your interests, so... do not hesitate to visit us!
