Comfortable, secluded & clean! Secure automatic gate with key pad entry. This ~1,600 sq ft, air-conditioned, stucco and tile home listing base price is for up to 6 guests but this Adult Exclusive home has a Maximum Occupancy of 9 for additional guest fees (to cover additional cleaning costs). The house is almost all one level with a few steps up to the porch and a few steps down to get to the master bedroom and patio.

When you’re glamping, you don’t have to use a camp stove! The fully equipped kitchen puts the other houses in the area to shame. The kitchen is fully equipped to handle the culinary needs of your group. Tile counter tops and breakfast bar seating allows everyone to get in on meal prep. This kitchen if fully furnished and has all the pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes & silverware you need. Crockpot, Keurig, Coffee pot, toaster, griddle, blender & Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker are all available for your use as well as the usual kitchen appliances, including microwave and dishwasher. If you can use it in the kitchen we have it! There is a pantry so you can do your shopping on the way in and not have to head into town for a week.

Living/Dining
Ditch the splintery picnic table and relax on our comfy sofa and recliner while soaking up the AC in the midday heat. The open space living room/dining room with WiFi, Firestick, and HDMI enabled television allows you to keep the group together, whether you are watching a movie, playing an epic board game, or cooking a large meal together.

Star Gazing on the Back Patio
This is where the stars come to shine. After grilling up dinner on the gas grill and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit, take the telescope to the patio and watch the stars. See if you can name the constellations, or just convince someone that “the Fluffy Bunny is totally a constellation”. We also have horseshoes, cornhole and washers available for you to play on the lawn while you wait for the stars to appear. Week-long family tournaments are encouraged.

Dawn on the Front Porch
This is the quiet time. The time you get to have for yourself. Get your coffee, sneak out the front door, and enjoy the sounds of the world waking up in the dawn from the chairs on the porch.

You can read, do puzzles, play games, sit around the firepit, bird watch, animal/wildlife watch, or just hang out to rest and enjoy the surroundings!

Super quiet secluded area. A country experience! Hindes is on highway 97, about an hour south of San Antonio. Hindes is just 4 miles from the Frio County line in Southwest Atascosa County. It is about 30 miles to Pleasanton, 30 miles to Dilley and Pearsall. It is about 45 miles to Cotulla. Apple & Google maps recognize Hindes, Texas!

Situated between two stunning Wildlife Management Areas.

Hindes, Texas currently has a population of 20 but was once a thriving town. Hindes was first settled in 1856, and in 1913 had a post office, a bank, a general store, a gin and 2 churches. When the railroad stopped traveling through Hindes, the population dropped and no businesses remained.
* This home was originally built in 1940 and was a residence on the west side of the original Hindes town square, but has been remodeled and added on since then!

I've been a licensed Texas Realtor since 1996. I graduated with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies in 1998 from Texas A&M University and with my Masters in Educational Administration from TAMUK in 2002. After 16 years of service in public education, in 2014 I ventured off into the short term rental world and never looked back! We love south Texas! I love to shop, decorate, entertain and do DIY projects! We have 2 boys and 2 trained tracking dogs that John Schulte travels all over south Texas to retrieve wounded deer (along with my dad, Roy Hindes). We also have cattle and manage deer hunting operations on our property.
