The cabin is set near our home on our 20 acre property, has a private entrance and easy parking. We are happy to welcome you and give you local advice and a key safe is available should it be necessary. It is a fabulous setting for walking nearby, the gate opens up onto a bridle path and there is an extensive network of footpaths nearby (bring your Ordinance survey map 145 & 133) close to Frensham Ponds, and two pubs within walking distance as well as many others within easy driving distance.

The space
The wooden cabin is fully insulated with additional heating for cooler weather. It has been sited to maximise the guests relaxation and enjoyment of the peace in the countryside. You will have no one overlooking you and there are no young children in the property. A perfect place to unwind and reconnect with each other and we are catering to couples as guests. There is unfortunately no space for additional guests and the space is not suitable for children.
We welcome business travellers working in the area.
The cabin is zoned into living room space, with a television which can be angled to the sofa or the bed, a breakfast bar which is well equipped for laptops with USB ports on most plug sockets and reading lights behind the sofa. Games, puzzles and reading material are in the coffee table.
The bed is dressed with quality linens and blinds and curtains are installed for additional privacy at night and to reduce the morning light. Sunsets from the cabin are spectacular through the woods. In the bedroom area there are drawers and bedside lights with USB points for your convenience. A wardrobe with hangers and drawers are for your use as is a luggage rack and space to stow your suitcase. A hairdryer and mirror is placed for your use.
The kitchenette is great for warming up take away meals, there is a microwave oven and a two plate induction hob to cook breakfast. Cooking utensils in the kitchen for your use, as well as a gas barbecue on the deck. There is no oven. We will provide a breakfast starter pack containing coffee, tea, milk, sugar, cereal, eggs, butter and bread. Condiments and olive oil will be stocked for guests use.

Well behaved dog would be welcome but not to sleep on bed or furniture.
If you are travelling from a country where you are required to quarantine, the cabin is a suitable property to stay in as there is no contact with other people and food deliveries could be arranged.

Where you’ll be

Tilford, England, United Kingdom

Tilford is a small village surrounded by woodland and very popular with walkers, cyclists and riders. It is centred at the point where two branches of the River Wey merge and 3 miles from Farnham where a train station can whizz you to London in 45 minutes.
In Summer you will find villagers playing cricket on the green opposite The Barley Mow Pub, and beside the green is a well known tree The Tilford Oak, reported you be more than 800 years old. Or relaxing in the gardens of the Duke of Cambridge pub, easily walkable from our accommodation. The meals are excellent at both pubs and booking is advisable as they are popular. Additional to this, in our immediate neighbourhood, we have two breweries and a shop selling any provisions from Farm eggs to fresh vegetables.
We are also close to Hankley Golf Club, The Sculpture Park, and many awesome coffee shops and garden centres. The Rural Life Living Museum is also close by and worth a visit.
Frensham Little Pond is about a 15 min walk away and a little further, is Frensham Great Pond. A round walk to both ponds is about 10 km. of course you could drive instead! These ponds were created in 13th century to supply fish to the Bishop of Winchester while visiting Farnham Castle. The castle is a pleasant walk uphill and the views of Farnham are great from there.
Waverley Abbey is 1 mile south of Farnham and founded in 1128, it’s managed by English Heritage and worth a walk about, free entry. There are several nature and bird reserves nearby too. The Sculpture Park less than 5 miles away is sited in 10 acres of woodland, lakes, streams and walkways and has over 600 sculptures to admire.
The National Trust also has land nearby with The Devils Punchbowl being a very popular walking trail. Grayshott Potteries are worth a visit and do breakfast and coffee, lunch and tea too. You’re spoilt for choice for good food pubs, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Bird world is an animal park with birds, fish and mammals that is one of the largest bird parks in the country.

Jonathan and I enjoy travelling using AirBNB and have created a country retreat to share with couples wishing to enjoy the countryside with the option of bringing their pooch, cat or horse! We are both keen outdoor people and like to travel, appreciate good food, some gardening and outdoor pursuits. As hosts, we have put the facilities we have enjoyed into our Cabin to create the best experience possible.
