A warm Moin. The cosily furnished half-timbered house with thatched roof is located in Hinzel, a well-known northern German forest with atmospheric bog areas. It was built in 1857 and has been completely renovated and modernised. The associated garden area is like the house part of the beautiful courtyard ensemble.

The space
The rustic house has two floors with wooden floors (total approx. 66 sqm living space). On the ground floor you will find the Scandinavian furnished living and dining room with fireplace, kitchen and bathroom. Wood fires in the fireplace and heating ensure warmth and cosiness even in winter. In the converted roof are the sleeping area, a cozy sofa corner with desk and storage space under the gable.

The sofa in the living room can be used comfortably as another bed for one person and unfolded for 2 people (90 or 180 cm wide).

A space-saving staircase with 13 changing steps and handrail leads to the converted attic.

Around the house is an area of the garden at your disposal. It offers sunny and semi-shade areas on both sides of the house, with loungers and a seating area. Garden and the entire former courtyard, in which the owners also live, are prepared with attention to detail. The rest of the garden area is private property. The only animals living on the farm are cats.

The house is surrounded by landscape and nature reserves, on the grounds of the medieval Ringwallanlage Heinschenwall an der Geesteniederung. The varied landscape between Weser and Elbe offers plenty of nature and culture in addition to traditional village life. Whether alone, as a couple or with the family (max. 4 people) - house, garden and surroundings invite you to activities, peace and relaxation. The landscape is ideal for walking and cycling (for example on the "Nordpfaden"). Holiday home garden and forest are also ideal for children.

Our "Haussee" is the natural swimming lake in Wollingst, which is also easily accessible by bike (approx. 11 km). Nearby there is also a small outdoor swimming pool, in Barchel (about 6 km).

The watery landscape is great for extended kayaking or canoeing trips, such as to Geeste, Oste, Wümme and Hamme. In the surrounding area there is a corresponding offer of boat rentals.

In about three quarters of an hour you can be in Bremerhaven, in the Hanseatic city of Stade, on the sandy beaches of Cuxhaven or in the artists' village of Worpswede. Bremen and Hamburg are only a short distance away. Heinschenwalde Train Station is only 300 metres from the holiday home.

In the holiday home garden there are cozy places to stay, through the gate next to the holiday home you are immediately in the forest and on the meadows of the Geeste, which is here an approximately 1-2 m wide stream and flows in the direction of Weser.

In the village (within walking distance) there is a small well-stocked grocery store, a Volksbank branch and a flower and gift shop.

I have been living on the Forsthof since 2015, in a three-person house community in the large courtyard building. The vacation home offered was last renovated in 2019/20. We have now prepared it with many new furniture as a vacation home and are looking forward to holiday guests and business travelers.
