Welcome to Schantz Haus, the homestead of Joseph Schantz, founder of Johnstown. The homestead is now a working farm sitting on 500 acres of land providing woods, pasture, cropland and housing for 150 Black Angus, a small flock of Bluefaced Leicester/Gotland sheep, chickens and roosters and an occasional 4H pig. Opportunity to learn Johnstown's story, explore local history, experience life on a working farm, and much more is available to you.

The space
We live in the house and share some space however your bedroom and bathroom are private. There is a private guest entrance to a common guest living room that includes a small refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, television, books and puzzles. Breakfast can be arranged with the hosts and other guests in a common dining room.
