We are a farmhouse in the woods 4 miles from Thousand Hills State Park and 5 miles from Truman State University. While staying, you will feel secluded/private yet be a 10 minute drive away from everything! The house was built in 2017 with modern finishes. The hottub is always hot and the oversized couches are always comfy. The neighborhood is family/wildlife oriented. Come unwind and relax in the sticks!

The space
Our patio has a fire pit with wood cut and ready to go. A charcoal grill will also be provided for your use during your stay, b.y.o. charcoal/lighter fluid. The kitchen has the essentials you may need: pots/pans, cooking utensils, flatware, cups, measuring cups, a few seasonings, oil, condiments, etc. We are here to serve you, so please let us know if we can provide anything specific upon your arrival.

We are a small family of 4. My husband is a substation electrician, and I am an elementary teacher. As for the little ones, they are under five, so we are constantly on the go chasing them around while exploring the great outdoors. We love any activity or hobby that involves the outdoors: nature walks at the state park, kayaking at the lake, fishing, park time, etc. We built a small house so we could spend more time outside than inside! We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do!
