Welcome to our 1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage in Tonasket that shares 1 acre with our home, an easy drive off the highway, and 5 minute walk into town. We are surrounded by orchards and the Okanogan River, and home to chickens and goats in a fenced pasture, as well as 2 small dogs and a cat. You will hear rural sounds of farmers, some highway noise, and the peace of nature on the river. Upon your arrival you will find a key with instructions, a fully stocked kitchen, coffee, and teas to enjoy.

The space
This is a one-bedroom, one bathroom space. The kitchen is open to the living area, which contains a love seat recliner and one fold out single bed couch. The bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser, and closet. The front door opens onto a deck with table and chairs where you can enjoy eating and sitting with the river noise murmuring in the background. There is also an accessible ramp up to the deck and front door. We will greet you when you arrive if you let us know when you will be here, and then stay out of your way if you desire. You will see us walking back and forth between our house and the animal pasture on the other side of the cottage, to collect eggs, feed our goats, and take care of daily chores.

The guest house is on a lane just off the highway with 4 other homes. Our home is the last one on the lane; the cottage is the 4th house. There is a Mexican restaurant across the highway from our lane, as well as a grocery store. The river view makes the property special, as well as the wild life the river and surrounding area bring.

Debbie and Steve moved back to Steve's hometown of Tonasket 10 years ago, enjoying the serenity and friendliness of rural life. Steve is a retired educator and musician who continues to compose and perform, and whose music studio can be seen next to our chicken pen near the river. Debbie teaches graduate students in reconciliation studies and is active in community leadership. They both enjoy welcoming guests to this little bit of paradise in the Okanogan Valley, and will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing.
