Simonshaven is a beautiful historically quiet little village located between meadows on the island of Voorne Putten.
The village is located on the recreational area 'de Bernisse' and 20 minutes away from the North Sea and port area of Rotterdam.
South Holland has different faces. A large part consists of urbanized areas, a part lies in the quiet, rural and increasingly natural Green Heart, a part consists of agricultural and livestock farming areas with quiet villages in them. The largest port in the world is of course here and there is also a lot of beach with quiet and very busy seaside resorts. Due to the presence of a number of rivers, the Biesbosch and the Herring Fleet, there is also plenty of water and water sports to be found. Cities such as Rotterdam, Delft, The Hague and Dordrecht have a rich history, are just a stone's throw away and are also worth it.

The recreational area 'De Bernisse' is a beautiful area with extensive lakes where there is much to do, cruises, swimming, surfing, canoeing, sub-boarding, hiking, jogging, cycling, horseback riding, fishing, grabbing a terrace etc. There are nice spots and different beaches, some are lined with cuffs for the smaller children. It is about 5 minutes walk away from us.

Easy to cycle:
- cozy places within a radius of 7 - 17 km: Hellevoetsluis (fortress), Brielle, Spijkenisse centrum.
- 10 minutes through meadows to the metro that takes you directly (within 25 minutes) to the lively centre of Rotterdam.
- 15 minutes cycling through meadows you are in the city center of Spijkenisse where you have a whole street on the Voorstraat with nice restaurants and nightlife (you can also catch your own transport or the bus).
- 5 minutes from the bus stop that takes you to the beaches of Oostvoorne, Rockanje, Renesse or Ouddorp.
- 5 minutes walk to the Bernisser recreation area.
