The stone and timber bungalow is ideal for couples or families of up to 6. The dining room has a kitchenette so you can choose to cook or order in from the main kitchen. The large living / lounge room has two single beds & a couch. Rooms have views through the treetops over the ocean. Natural ventilation & fans combine to maximize the cool mountain breeze without the noise and carbon footprint of air conditioning. The sounds of the rainforest surround you and monkeys often play in nearby trees.

The space
A very private bungalow set in 1.2Ha (3 acres) of tropical gardens. Awake to the sounds of monkeys and bird song. Walk in the terraced gardens where exotic orchids and tropical plants surround the rainwater swimming pool.

The mountain top location overlooks Padang's top surf beach. Air Manis Beach is ideal for learners or for a warm up surf before heading out to the world famous Mentawai Islands.

Air Manis Hill Residence offers a resident chef, Ibu Is, trained in authentic Padang dishes and Western meals. Breakfast is included and a personalized menu is available. Meals can be delivered to your bungalow. The local fishermen supply us with a range of seafood direct from the boats and we buy mountain fresh vegetables grown in rich volcanic soil. We keep your tropical fruit basket filled.

The bungalow features a large living/bed room, a private bedroom with en suite marble tiled bathroom, private verandah, dinning room with kitchen. It is fully insect screened and equipped with a working kitchen, fans and a music system that connects to your iPod. The rainwater swimming pool is just a few steps away.

Family groups of up to 6 can be accommodated with extra beds in the living area.
