Where you’ll be

West Shokan, New York, United States

A car is necessary to get to the house, and to explore the area. We are located in the Town of Olive, and hamlet of West Shokan, near the towns of Phoenicia, Mount Tremper, Woodstock, and Accord. Skiing is nearby; Belleayre to the west about 25 miles and Hunter to the north about 35 miles. The new Ashokan Rail Trail is just a few miles away with trailhead parking in Boiceville, Shokan, and Woodstock. Walk or bike along the 11.5 mile trail located on the northern shore of the Ashokan Reservoir.

Our road is quiet with very little through traffic, and offers terrific views of Ashokan High Point and surrounding Catskills mountains. It's a great walking road.
