Cosy, daggy shack in central Coffin Bay. Super comfortable. Surrounded by productive (and slightly messy) permaculture gardens full of birds. Watch them enjoy the bird bath from the house. Help yourself to herbs for fresh tea. Walking distance to everything and only 100m from the IGA and 200m from the Yacht Club, water's edge and children's playground. 400m to Oyster HQ.
Honeysuckle Cottage is a classic beach shack. Light-filled, relaxed and airy.

The space
The street is quiet yet close to everything, only one back from the Esplanade.
With a relaxed ambience and no-fuss decor you can unwind and have a classic Australian beach holiday. It's simple but surprisingly comfortable and don't worry about traipsing sand into the house.
The house is decorated with artworks and there is a bookshelf has many magazines and books to browse and read.
The garden is full of aromatic and edible plants - so make yourself a cup of peppermint, lemon balm or lemon verbena tea, harvest some parsley or rhubarb, enjoy watching the grapevines grow and you might even find some veggies ready to eat.
We have a gate and fences to keep kangaroos out, please respect that these need to be kept closed at night. You might be surprised by the damage a roo can do to a fruit tree.
The fence is also handy if you have small children with you. It's not strong enough to keep dogs in, so if you bring your best friend keep them secure.
On the north side of the house is a pergola with grapevines and on the south side a covered area with outdoor setting and BBQ and Weber.
Funnily enough comments received from guests so far focus on the garden - which is puzzling as I thought Coffins was a beach holiday place. I love the garden but if you prefer manicured, this is not the place for you. See for yourself. :)
More:
Two pushbikes and helmets for your use.

Where you’ll be

Coffin Bay, South Australia, Australia

Our street runs one street behind the Esplanade in the centre of the town and is full of original shacks. At night it's so peaceful you'll love the quiet and you can sit outside in the backyard and stargaze.
There is so much to love about Coffin Bay - the Oyster Walk, beaches, the wildlife that wander the streets (seriously, kangaroos and emus do walk around), the ever present birds (have many in the garden feasting on nectar, seeds and bugs), the warm days and cool nights, proximity to a National Park, the water sports and the friendly locals.
Set back from the hustle and bustle but close enough to saunter to the water's edge for a dip, paddle board or make your way home after watching yachts or a meal at the Yacht Club, Pub or cafe and restaurants.
We are 100 m from the General Store (new Supermarket) and it will take less than 5 minutes to walk the 200 metres the Yacht Club and foreshore area and town jetty.
Around 400 m from Coffin Bay Hotel, 600 m from Oyster HQ and 1 km from 1802 and the Pizza Shop, 1.5 km from Golf/Bowls Club. Basically everything is close.
