Where you’ll be

Hedley, British Columbia, Canada

We are five minutes west of Hedley, BC on the main highway. Hedley provides a general store, hot dog stand and a cafe, crown land and old mines to explore - see if you can find the old jail in town. Hedley was once a booming gold rush city. Be sure to visit their Museum!

We are 20 minutes east of Princeton (Where friends and rivers meet). Where there is great hiking (China Ridge, the KVR Trail), horseback riding, the gold commissioner and many more things to explore. We provide tear-out maps in the entry room. Visit the town's website for more information. The community also provides excellent restaurants and a save-on-foods, gold panning opportunities and more.

We are 25 minutes west of Keremeos where you can experience the fruit and veggie stands or have a wonderful meal at one of the many restaurants in town. Or if going out is not your style sit by the river with a good book or artist's medium and watch the river roll by in the backyard. The community features the grist mill, excellent wineries and cideries, the one-eyed budgie gift shop and art shop, and many other wonderful treasures.

Happy, fun, outgoing and love to travel! I've had the travel bug since I was small, and would join my dad on his adventures as a helicopter mechanic. I've been to many parts of the world. Now, I live on a homestead, on the Similkameen River, and I do my best to make my home comfortable for my guests, some who come from all parts of the world to see my country, some who live in nearby cities and like to enjoy a night or two in the country while passing through. If you're looking for me, you'll probably find me in the kitchen baking some delicious treat I dug up out of a cookbook somewhere, or in the garden, or chasing my husband around with a baby bunny in my jacket pocket keeping me company while I ask him silly questions. Some of our guests have become our friends. We try to make a place for anyone who would like to stay, and we do our best to make their time with us a blessing to them.
