The house was built during 1950s , after the WWII ended and is located close to the river bank of the White Cris River which would often flood the village back then . The house has 2 parts , one that is restored and haustable and the other that isn't restored yet . The house is heated by 3 fire places, has supply water , hot water , all the basic necessities and a bit more !
Transportation to Rapsig is by public train , bus or personal transport (from Arad or Timisoara depending on your choice)

The space
The house is old, built in the '50s, cozy in the winter and fresh in the summer . During your stay, expect a traditional experience where you can live like the farmers used to more than 60 years ago , pet and feed farm animals , cook your own food in traditional oven . Basically a trip back 60 years ago in a more comfortable way !

Rapsig Village is located 130 km (80 miles) from The Timisoara International Airport , 50 km from Moneasa resort, 70 km from Arad, 30 km from Hanul Moara cu Noroc ( known from the Novel with the same name, written by Ioan Slavici, one of Romania's greatest writers ) and 50 km from the birthplace of the writer Siria, where you can also find a Museum dedicated to Ioan Slavici . In Siria you can also find the Fortress of Siria which dates from 1169 . Other interesting attractions like the restored Fortress of Alba Iulia can be found at less than 200 km (124 miles) away .

    During your stay

    Living in Arad, 75 km away, makes it a bit difficult to be available 100% of the time. However, I will be there to greet you and show you around the house and also on your leave to make sure you enjoyed your stay and greet you again with a traditional departure gift ! Despite the fact that I won't be able to be there every day , one of my relatives that helps me take care of the house, lives just next door so rest assure there won't be any worries if you need any kind of help !
