It is a quiet neighbourhood that is central to Devakottai Town and is in close proximity to most important locations of the town including the highway and the main market. The property is a cozy and quiet guesthouse that is in the midst of old chettiar mansions (famous home architecture in the region) in the locality. I speak English, Tamil and Hindi and only a call away. We have a caretaker who lives very close by and a guard posted for the night & most parts of the day. Both speak tamil.

There is an electric tea kettle with instant tea and coffee to make yourself your morning cuppa.

We do not have a kitchen or food facilities on the property but there are shops close-by where you can feed yourself. Just keep our staff informed if you need something. They can help you get it.

We can organize short day trips for you to visit famous temples, tourist-y places and explore the region with 1-2 day's notice. We can also arrange for guided shopping tours, cooking classes to learn famous dishes of the delicious local cuisine or taste a home-cooked meal if we are informed well in advance.

The rooms are cleaned everyday by our housekeeping staff. If you need clothes to be washed, our dhobi will do it for you. Just let us know before 8 am so that we can ask her to
schedule it.

If you need travel arrangements to be made, pickups, drops,etc. again, just let us know in advance, we will make the necessary arrangements.

My most important piece of advice... Keep all medicines you may need with you. You may not be able to get all the medicines in this town.

Vairam’s place is located in Devakottai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Our property is in the midst of the palatial Chettiar Mansions. It is 2-3 minutes away from Vairam Kalyana Mandapam, Theena Pillaiyar Temple, Kottai Amman Temple and Nagara Pallikoodam. It is central to most of the important locations in the town including the main shopping bazar, famous temples, highways, etc.

There is a little, street-corner, vegetarian parotta shop, Jinnah Parotta, where you must try the scrumptious Vechu Parottas.

If you want to experience the local culture, you should visit during the Kottai Amman Temple Festival that happens in the end of July and 1st week of August. The Kottai Amman temple gets a different kind of buzz and vibrancy at the time.

    Our caretaker lives 3-4 minutes away from the property and is always willing to help. We keep visiting the town every other week and our mostly available.
