Where you’ll be

Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Misty Cliffs is a little village that lies on the mountain and on the beach, divided only by Main Road, between Kommetjie and Scarborough, roughly an hour from Cape Town. Misty Cliffs is also a conservation village bordering on a nature reserve, a wonderful place to find peace and quiet and a spectacular setting for the nature enthusiast. The beach is not very big, but lovely for walking on, and really close to the larger and far more popular Scarborough beach, which is popular with surfers.

Just a short drive away you will find Scarborough. The rustic charm of the Scarborough village is further enhanced by the fact that it offers some of the best fishing and surfing on the peninsular. Body boarding, kite surfing, kayaking, windsurfing and crayfishing are all highly rated, and Scarborough’s beach is privy to some of the most awesome sunsets and wonderful windswept walks.

There are a couple of restaurants here and a small shop, but it’s not very far before you reach Simons Town, and Noordhoek and Fish Hoek are as easily accessible in the other direction, should you need to stock up on supplies.
