Finca El Arbol is not a usual place. It’s not just a bed, a kitchen, and a living room. It’s not just accommodation. It’s much more. It’s about living in the beautiful northern mountains of Nicaragua, surrounded by amazing luxurious nature.

This experience is about diving into the rural Nicaraguan culture. Waking up to the rhythm of the sounds of nature, the kitchen, the smell of tortillas and hot coffee and why not, an omelet filled with fresh herbs from the garden.

The space
The spaces we offer represent our values and the way we live: humble and rustic but cozy and comfy.

Each room offers you a matrimonial bed, a small table, a closet to put your clothes in and the last but not the least: the most beautiful view of the finca! The circular window has a great view of the gorgeous valley, full of banana trees, coffee plants, and other nice fruit trees.

You'll have a private kitchen with all the tools that you need to cook delicious meals. Small tip: ask Tremi, our gardener, when you need some fresh herbs or vegetables. If you feel like baking banana bread this is the place to do it. There are bananas everywhere.
You’ll also have access to a bathroom next to your room including a toilet and shower.
All the rooms have electricity and water.

In addition, you’ll have a private space with an amazing sofa to rest and a library to read the many books we have! A perfect place to relax with a good and hot infusion made with the garden lemongrass for example. Just an idea.

In another building, there’s a dorm room where you might meet the workers from the farm. It’s a great opportunity to introduce yourself and maybe share a game of cards or board game (please note that bets are not allowed)

If you practice yoga or some kind of relaxation exercise, our open terraces overlooking the garden await you. We have wooden blocks and yoga mats that you can use to complete your routine.

If your want to see more, there are plenty of activities around Finca El Arbol! For years we have developed a network of connections with local artisans. You can, for example, spend a day in Mosonte, an indigenous town characterized by its beautiful church, the museum with Monsignor Madrigal's belongings, well know by clay crafts and of course, this means that you can take a pottery class or just go for a walk near the river or spend a night with Delia's family.

Another option is to visit the Canyon de Somoto and enjoy swimming and walking amongst rocks and rivers.

We don't live on the farm ourselves but there's always people who can assist you with any of your needs. We try to visit daily and are in contact several times throughout the day.
