If you are looking for a romantic modern and ultra clean property in a beautiful private location for a short break or Holiday getaway or looking for a base to explore North Yorkshire, look no further.

The barn is a modern detached property located on the edge of private woodland. It is in a quiet, relaxing location in the center of the Howardian Hills, and within the North York National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The barn has two sets of bi-fold doors leading out onto a large raised deck facing into woodland, which is screened off for privacy. There is an external dining area for guest use, a gas barbecue and a private, graveled parking area, for one vehicle, adjacent to the barn. There is a privacy screened hot tub, for the use of Whootin Owl Barn guests only. (PLEASE NOTE:-We will always endeavour to ensure that the Hot Tub is available for the duration of your stay, however please understand we cannot foresee any future mechanical problems.)

Inside there is a relaxing lounge with Sofa, table with four chairs, a fully equipped kitchen, a warm stylish shower/wet room and stairs that lead upstairs to a bedroom with king size bed and a mezzanine balcony. All rooms are underfloor heated for comfort .

The Barn is located in a particularly quiet location within the Howardian Hills, (an area of outstanding natural beauty) and within the North York Moors National Park.

There are a wide range of activities and gorgeous places to visit, most only a short drive away ie:

Helmsley with its castle and a wide range of shops and coffee shops - 6 miles. The market town of Easingwold has several nice coffee shops and a range of small supermarkets - 8 miles.

Malton has a comprehensive offering of stores and holds regular food festivals - 8 miles.

Thirsk is a busy market town with a full range of retail offerings - 10 miles.

The beauty of Castle Howard is well worth a visit - 9 miles.

The historic city of York (arguably the prettiest city in England) is a must with its Roman, Viking and medieval historical beauty and a wide range of museums and galleries as well as a wide range of retail stores - 18 miles.

During your stay

The landlord lives on site, approximately 75 yards away, for easy contact as required and will certainly be present to welcome you on arrival, but will totally respect your privacy during your stay. During extended stays, the landlord may need to undertake property maintenance or external grounds care during your stay, to ensure the area remains safe and clean.

We also offer a set up of Bubbly or Wine with or without Balloons on arrival for an additional fee if you like: RE: Birthdays Anniversary’s, Honeymoons, or Just Because!
