Beautiful, cozy cottage just a short walk or snowmobile ride from gorgeous Mullett Lake. Everything you need for the perfect getaway all year long. Two blocks from the North Central Trail, quaint shops and restaurants. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, just a stones throw from the lake. In the summer bring your bikes and hiking shoes - in the winter, bring your snowmobiles and ice fishing equipment, room for your trailer! Perfect for a romantic couples getaway, group of friends or for a family.

The space
Our cozy cottage is so perfect for a romantic getaway, family vacation, girls weekend, or annual fishing or snowmobiling trip. We have paid attention to every detail because this is our cottage too - we are just happy to share it with you. You'll find everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry. We are super clean and super easy going!

We also have great wifi and a workspace, just in case you cant unplug completely. A nice flat screen smart TV is available for you to stream with your own Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. accounts.

Daybreak cottage is two blocks up the hill from Mullett Lake, nestled between two other homes and backed by state land.

Topinabee is a lovely historic village - the only town on famous Mullett Lake!

In the summer, bring your bikes or your boat for a trip on the Inland Waterway. Plenty of room to park your trailer in the driveway, and the public boat launch is literally a two minute drive.

In the winter, prepare for some amazing ice fishing or bring your snowmobiles to enjoy the North Central Trail.

Just 5 minutes to Indian River, 12 to Cheboygan, 25 minutes to Mackinac City, 40 to Petoskey.

Our cottage is the perfect hub for your northern Michigan vacation in every season! The neighborhood is SO quiet - enjoy sunrise views through the trees over Mullett Lake and all nature has to offer.

We are Elana and Chris - we live downstate and LOVE Northern Michigan. We grew up with family cottages on the Leelanau Peninsula, but in the last few years have just fallen in love with the entire Cheboygan area. We think you will too!

Chris is a high school administrator and Elana is a museum CEO. We are madly in love, and our hobbies include cruising on our vintage Sea Ray (which we keep in downtown Cheboygan) and hanging out with our six fun kids and one grandson.

We have enjoyed exploring every corner of Northern Michigan and have lots of suggestions on things you can do winter, spring, summer or fall!
