Rent a private room (about 20 m ² per room) in a renovated 120-year-old old private house. Hachiwomen's tea (tamaru) is the best area in Japan, and many traditional industries can breathe. Located just in the middle of Fukuoka and Kumamoto, this is a convenient and relaxing base for traveling to Kyushu.(It is convenient to travel to Oita, Saga and Nagasaki on the highway) There are old-fashioned Buddhist altars, lanterns, arrows, sake breweries, etc., and it is also recommended to walk around town. The building was completely renovated two years ago. All rooms are boarded, with a living room, kitchen (self catering/refrigerator, range, dishes) on the first floor, and two rooms on the second floor (private rooms for 1-4 people each). Maximum capacity is 8 people (up to 4 people/room). Of course, one person can use it gracefully and relax. Two rooms can be rented (with separate account).Basic amenities such as shampoo, hair dryer, air conditioner and heater are provided (towels and toothbrushes are charged). The building is a shared shop with a cake shop and women's underwear shop on the first floor (toilets are shared during the day).Access is about 50-60 minutes by car from Fukuoka and Kumamoto, about 90 minutes from JR Hakata Station, about 40 minutes by bus from Nishitetsu Kurume Station, and about 15 minutes from JR Hanedzuka Station.

The space
All rooms are flooring. The ceiling is renovated with beams visible and can be used from one night to a longer stay.
The TV is installed on the first floor. Please enjoy the web, etc. on your PC, etc. (free wifi).
If you have a reservation for another room, you'll be asked to share it with someone other than your private room.Contact us beforehand if you're interested, or you can rent an entire place, so check out a different account.

Where you’ll be

Yame, Fukuoka, Japan

Hachini City is located in the south-east of Fukuoka Prefecture. This town prospered as a commercial and handicraft area during the Edo period. The townscape was influenced by the castle town, and it has an orderly town division. There were many venues and shops for various industries such as wax, sake brewery, Japanese paper, tea making, etc., so there are relatively large architecture (townhouses) lined up.
The old townscape was selected in 2002 as a preservation district for an important group of traditional buildings in the country, and as repairs are underway, the younger ones will be moving in and there will be more grocery and food stores. It's a charming town with old tiles and a white-walled house with a wife.
The neighborhood is also within walking distance of popular shops such as "eel beds", fashionable cafes such as "ao cafe", and handcrafted workshops. Enjoy.

Hello. I live at Yame-shi, Fukuoka!
Vicinage is advancing a movement for repair and utilization every day in the area where traditional old streets are left. Agricultural and forestry industries are popular including Yame tea in the city, and traditional industry is breathing a family Buddhist altar, a paper lantern, a stick of incense, a stone lantern and Japanese paper. Please cross the person who would like to feel (by simplicity, simple) good of Japan by all means.
