The Marudamalai temple (30 mins by car) situated alongside the Marudamalai hills is a beautiful scenic location worth exploring. Apart from that, the Isha Yoga Centre where one could experience Indian spirituality and inner transformation through meditation. It's 20.3 km ( 36minutes)from here. One could also explore the Vellingiri hills ,if interested in trekking. Siva temple is atop the hill. Another place worth mentioning is the Botanical gardens set up during the British period is 3 kms from here. It is a large, tranquil campus garden with greenhouses & a nursery with plants for sale.
