Romantic two bedroom hideaway South Lincolnshire

Gregory Cottage is a romantic and private boutique property for up to four people, hidden away in rural Lincolnshire yet only ten minutes from Grantham station and three minutes from the A1.

The space
Approached from a gravel drive with off road parking, the garden and patio lead to the entrance of the cottage and the well equipped kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, washing machine, large fridge and freezer and the charming dining area.

It is a beautifully furnished cottage with
carefully selected pieces, decorations and paintings throughout. The sitting room has flanking sofas to the open and useable log fire, TV, Netflix, internet and blue tooth speakers.

Upstairs, the main bedroom has a king size French sleigh bed and TV. The second bedroom has twin antique fin de siècle French beds with extensive views of rolling countryside. The bathroom is luxuriously fitted out in keeping with the unique ambience of the whole house.

Stroxton is a pretty Lincolnshire hamlet and nearby Harlaxton has a village shop, post office and pub with restaurant. Harlaxton Manor was described by Pevsner as the wildest and most fanciful mansion of the 1830s.

Public footpaths abound and the Grantham Canal is highly sought after walkway.
Open to the public is nearby is Belvoir Castle with its unique new shopping amenities, restaurant and bars.

Belton House owned by the National Trust is an architectural gem inside and out and with a fantastic adventure playground for children. Belton Woods Hotel has a spa and golf course.

Not so far, via the A1 is Stamford, famous for the Burghley horse trials.

Historic Newark with its castle has all year round antique fairs and fabulous antique shops.

Lincoln Castle with its copy of Magna Carta and the Cathedral are a dominant part of this County’s history.

Nottingham is within easy driving distance too.

Rutland Water to the South has everything from walking and cycling to fishing and water sports to its ospreys at the nature reserve.
