The Haven is situated in Findon village in the South Downs Nat Park, 4miles from Worthing. It sleeps up to 4 people and dogs are welcome too. The village has several pubs + restaurants and is ideal for walkers, trips to the beach, Goodwood racing.

The space
The Haven is ideal for 2 couples or a family of 4 to enjoy the benefits of being in a village setting with walking access to a range of pubs and restaurants and walks in the South Downs National Park and yet also to be just 4 miles from the sea. There is a large village green just minutes from the house for your dog to enjoy.

The Haven is a split level bungalow:
On the ground floor is the hallway, living/dining room with double patio doors leading to the patio and garden and the Kitchen with breakfast bar.

Three steps to: landing, 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin or double). Shower room. Separate bathroom and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, all bed linen and towels included. Sky TV. DVD. Gas hob and electric oven. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Dishwasher. Microwave. Enclosed garden with patio and furniture. Incoming telephone and WIFI available.

We will be available by phone if you need to talk to us but otherwise we leave you to enjoy your stay.

Findon has five pubs or bars all serving food. In addition there are two restaurants and a tearoom. There is a village shop including post office, an antique shop and a Butcher a few doors away. For a weekend or weekly shop, there is a Tesco Local in Findon Valley or numerous shops in nearby Worthing.

A short distance out of the village is the 11th century flint parish church of St John the Baptist. Footpaths radiate out of the village in all directions so it is easy to plan short and long circular walks. The ancient hill forts of Cissbury and Chanctonbury are both a short distance away.

It is only 4 miles to the sea and our favorite Sea Lane Cafe overlooking the beach at Goring by Sea. Perfect to sit and watch the world go by as you enjoy a leisurely breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. They serve locally caught fish and chips or a great range of cakes to go with your coffee!

There is parking for 2 cars on the driveway.
The village is well served by public transport. Regular bus services go to and from Worthing, Horsham and Midhurst.

Train services from Worthing station go directly to and from Gatwick Airport and London Victoria, Brighton, Chichester and Portsmouth.

We are ideally situated for visiting Goodwood or Fontwell Races, Arundel with its Castle and antique shops and the many attractions of Brighton are 1/2 hr away.

May 2015 - "I would have kept The Haven a secret but that would not have been fair on the wonderful, caring owners who deserve five stars. The Haven exceeded all our expectations - everything was exactly as described. As soon as we stepped through the door we instantly felt at home. The garden is a special feature of the bungalow well stocked with mature trees, bushes and plants and a real "haven" to all the many birds that can be seen there. Findon and the surrounding area are set in outstanding English countryside and we found all the local people we met on walking our dogs very friendly and helpful.Elaine was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble.
Jan 2016 - This was the perfect rental for our yearly family visit to the UK. We stayed here with our 17 month old son and it was the perfect place to have as a home away from home. He absolutely loved having our "own" space to run around and we loved the separation between the bedrooms and the living space so we could unwind and relax by the lovely warm gas fire and enjoy all the perks of SKY TV! The kitchen is well stocked and having a separate shower room was great. Findon is a pretty little village with pubs and shops and a huge green space steps away. We went on several walks in the morning through the village and it was safe and quiet. It is well placed close to main routes to get you anywhere you need to go in the southeast. Elaine was an excellent communicator and we had no problems with the house, nor were in need of anything! Will definitely consider for future visits!”
March 2017 - "Such a lovely home. Brilliant location for the dogs who enjoyed some great walks up the hill. Everything was just what we needed and some great bird watching in the garden. Hope to be back soon. Thank you".
June 2018 - “Wonderful bungalow! We loved the beautiful tranquil garden and the chance to watch the feathered visitors. Well equipped kitchen and excellent wifi. Great dog walking just outside the front door. Thank you for a lovely mini break.”
July 2019 Elaine is a great host and her place is lovely and we'll equipped with everything you could want! The garden is amazing too, so peaceful and quiet to sit in and relax and take in the sun. We have never stayed in such a dog friendly place and the village itself is very dog friendly too.
July 2020 -"The Haven was the perfect place for my parent's five day visit. It is well situated in Findon, close by Nepcote Green. It is quiet, peaceful, light, spacious and comfy. The house and garden were well equipped to make their stay just as it needed to be. Everything worked fine and our friendly and helpful hosts were speedy in responding to any questions we had."
July 2020 We were very happy with the Haven as accommodation for myself, my friend and 2 dogs. The location near to Nepcote Green was ideal for early morning walks & so beautiful; the bungalow gave us plenty of space and the Haven App with its readily accessible information was extremely helpful. We were able to eat all our meals outside on the handy table, with the dogs wandering round in the secure garden.

I live with my husband Steve and Bert, our Labrador / Springer spaniel cross. The Haven is our holiday home which we share with my brother Martin and we hope you enjoy staying there as much as we do. Findon is the village we grew up in and it is a great place to spend time.
