This 900 sq. ft. Casita is nestled in the foothills of the Tortolita Mts. NW of Tucson, near the main house but with its own amenities, including solar panels on the roof, tasty well water from >1,000 ft. depth, speedy reliable wi-fi and internet-enabled large-screen TV. The views from huge picture windows are gorgeous, especially to the north and west. Native plantings are of numerous indigenous and exotic cactus species, and other native bushes and trees. We love it and think you will too.

The space
Fully equipped kitchen, pleasant dining/living room with large flat screen TV, modern furnishings including Brazilian granite countertops in kitchen and bathroom, and a general "homey" feel throughout. We provide a few continental breakfast supplies, including tea, coffee, bread, milk, eggs, and some fruit to get you going for the first few days. Please let us know if you have special needs, such as no lactose, etc.

Where you’ll be

Tucson, Arizona, United States

We live on a well maintained dirt road about 400 yards in from the main paved road. There is plenty of free parking. The place is quiet, and the nearest "mega-store" of food and other amenities is 4 miles away, so not walkable to it. We love the nature of the place, visited by cactus wrens, two species of ground squirrels, bobcats, javelina, coyotes, foxes, road runners, and much more. There are few rattlesnakes in the immediate area, probably because we have road runners and bull snakes, who eat rattlers. We think of it as Paradise :-).

Melany and Bernd are in our spry early 70's. We started AirBnB August 2019, and are renting our 3-year old "guest casita" nestled on 3 acres in the Arizona desert north of Tucson. We enjoy nature, and can help orient guests to species names and such if they wish.
