Escape to PUKEKO COTTAGE in the heart of Geraldine: a comfortable, well-equipped sunny home: 3 min walk to shops, cafes, supermarket, cross the road to the playground, swimming pool, and domain. FAMILY-FRIENDLY. Safe, lge fenced garden 4 kids to play outside while you relax. HOT TUB, Toys/ bikes/ pram. King ensuite & Queen Rms. Quiet & peaceful w BBQ/ outdoor dining. Off-street parking for up to 4 cars. 2 Heatpumps & woodfire. 60 mins to Tekapo, 30min to Timaru, 90 mins to CHCH.

The space
Relax at the Pukeko Cottage: Master bedroom with ensuite has a KING bed opening out to patio. Bedroom two has a very comfortable queen bed. Large bedroom three with a set of bunks and two king single beds. (sleeps 4) Sofa bed in lounge for extra 2 guests for large groups. Outdoor dining and private garden. Fire place and drywood provided for winter months, Paddling pool for tots and swimming pool across the road for summer months. Enjoy the bush walks and relaxed village atmosphere with weekend markets and boutique cafes and restaurants.... all under 5mins walk from Pukeko Cottage.

Use the cottage as a base for exploring in and around Geraldine:
Take a day trip to Peel Forest (Horse treks, bush walks), Lake Tekapo (ice-skating, snow tubing, hot pools), Mt Cook (Hooker Valley, Sealy Tarn walks), Mt Sunday (Lord of the Rings film site), book an evening 2hr tour of the night sky at Geraldine Observatory, OR just relax in the cottage beside the fire with a book with no one to bother you, popping into Geraldine to check out Barker's new cafe and food store or other restaurants/ Geraldine cheese factory-shop.

My name is Kay. I've been an Airbnb host for just over 4 years running Pukeko Cottage & Apartment in Geraldine and Fiery Peak Eco- Cottage (and recently opened Fiery Peak Chalet on our 12 acre property in Pleasant Valley. It really has been a pleasure to meet people from all over the world. I'm always trying to improve my homes so that they can be the best experience for my guests. So feel free to make a suggestion if you have an idea that would be nice to add.

Keith and I have four children, whom we have homeschooled right through their school life. They have all now gone on to live their own lives and careers in the UK, Melbourne, Christchurch and Palmerston North.
We have a piece of paradise in Pleasant Valley, where we live - 12 acres of forested farmland, clean air, stunning views, native NZ birds flying over head, sheep grazing, fruit trees and large vege garden. We are totally off grid ( make our own electricity via solar panels), have our own beautiful spring water, and try to be as organic as possible with all we grow, eat and put on our soil.

We love hosting new people from all areas of the globe, so are really excited to be sharing our homes with you.
