Welcome to Maglehem's old station house, built in 1898. The house has large windows with nice light entrance, 4 bedrooms, open plan kitchen & living room, lovely patio for all meals.
Free, quiet, green and lush location on the outskirts of the village overlooking our meadow and away towards Ravlundafältet.
Very nice opportunities in the nearby area for hiking, cycling and running.
Lovely sandy beach, Juleboda, 3 km away.
Good starting point for excursions throughout Österlen. 20 min to Kivik, Åhus.

The space
A fine old station building of approximately 125 square meters, privately owned from 1973 after the closure of the train traffic . The entrance level with nice high windows and high ceilings makes the kitchen and living room with open plan bright and lovely.

Patio with barbecue directly outside the living room and kitchen, large awning (w motor) creates a nice setting. Possibility to sit in the greenhouse at cooler outdoor temperatures or at the wind.

Fireplace/stove that provides quick and comfortable heat on a cooler day. Wood supply.

Steeper staircase leads up to stensens residence, now 3 bedrooms:
(1) double room with 1.80 bed, screened off with drapery towards the living room (with sofa bed, comfortably suitable for children, not counting the number of beds), walk-through to the room (2)
(2) single room 1.05 bed with 1 x 60 cm
wardrobe (3) double room with two separate 90 beds, 2 drawers
S k ½ bathroom (toilet, sink and bath) upstairs.

On the entrance floor 1 bedroom (4) with good 1.40 sofa bed for 1-2 people (no wardrobe or dresser) as well as 1 bathroom (toilet, sink, shower).

The house is best suited for up to 6 adults, has a total of 7 beds.

Kitchen with fridge & freezer, microwave, dishwasher, cooker with oven, various kitchen appliances and utensils, crockery and cutlery etc.

Laundry room with washing machine, dryer and place to hang laundry, rough sink. Drying wind.

Smaller basement perfect for cooler storage for extra drinks, vegetables etc.

Heat pump with AC.

Large lovely flat plot with a smaller house that creates an inner courtyard feel, as well as a goods store from the same period as the station house. No access to the houses. Banvallen, today's footpath and bike lane, runs along the entire plot.

Good parking on your own property and private road.

Bed linen and towels are available to rent for SEK 150/person. Payable via AirBnB no later than 5 days prior to arrival.

We are at the house as often as we can on free time. The house has been year-round accommodation and is experienced sturdy and comfortable. It is simple but functionally furnished. The kitchen is well-equipped as we are happy to cook for ourselves. We hope you will enjoy and take good care of it.

Where you’ll be

Kristianstad Ö, Skåne län, Sweden

Maglehem is a small beautiful village with a stone church from the 13th century. Here it's quiet and comfortable and no traffic disturbs. Blåherremölla, a scenic and culture-historically valuable environment, is within walking distance, as are Solgården, a restaurant with full rights, and B&B.

If you come over Easter, you will have Konstrundan in Österlen with several artists who are opening their studios "at home" in Maglehem. Visit for more information.

It is close to fine beech forests and hiking areas in several nature reserves such as Drakamöllan, Kumlan, Maglehem and Brösarps hills (north and south, e.g. Backaleden, Skåneleden).

Nice roads for cycling, down to the sea you can choose car free via Ravlundafältet or take the road via the forest, or local highway. The embankment outside the house is accessible for walking and cycling, from Kristianstad in the north to Brösarp in the south.

3 km to the sea and Hanö Bay with a unique sandy beach with views from Åhus in the north to Stenshuvud in the south. Havängs sandy beaches 4 km away and Skåne's highest waterfall Hallamölla about 15 km away.

About 20 min by car to Kivik and Åhus.
Golf course about 10 min, towards Degeberga.

Grocery store, café, pharmacy, health centre, ATM and gas station are located in Brösarp o Degeberga, about 6 km south and north respectively. Restaurants in Brösarp.
